Executive Director
Shirley Bell
Alfrie Hudson is a Graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and an Alumnus AmeriCorps VISTA. Alfrie has been in the world of human services her whole life. Born and raised in Chicago, she knows firsthand what it’s like to be homeless because she spent a portion of her youth living in shelters. Arriving in Cleveland as an adult, she lived at Laura’s Home for four months. From there she immediately began giving back to the community that helped her. Alfrie has committed to serving her community and promoting self sufficency.
Alfrie believes, “God reminds me that all it takes is for me to plant the seed; somebody else is going to come water it, somebody is going to fertilize it, somebody else is going to bring it sunshine and then somebody is going to watch it grow. It’s not important for me to see all the stages but just that I planted the seed.”

Garden Manager
Jessie Garson
Jessie grew up and graduated from Shaker Heights High School. She is a graduate of Bates College where she studied sociology. She has travelled around the country working on different types of small organic farms learning different business models, best practices for the environment, and how to grow the highest yield of vegetable crops. Jessie has also worked in many outdoor education settings. She is thrilled to be combining these two passions at Rev Love Urban Farm. She hopes to help create a community space that all feel comfortable at.
